The Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society is an all volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and maintaining the Huntington Harbor Lighthouse. The lighthouse, built in 1912, was fully manned until automated in 1949. Over the following decades, the unoccupied structure deteriorated andwas scheduled for demolition. However, 1985 brought out a community group who “saved” the lighthouse and ultimately formed the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society. With your help and membership, preservation and maintenance will continue.
